Description:

i remember scott mentioning that waterstones where not stocking the sony ebook reader(can't remember model) , i just came across this on Money saving expert website(martin lewis)

Bookeen Cybook Opus eReader, £70 Online from Waterstones

The Bookeen CyBook Opus eReader is available online at Waterstones* for £69.99 with free delivery.

Like the ones above, it uses the e-ink technology that the Kindle uses, so reading on the device is the same as reading an actual book. The e-reader does have a pretty paltry 6 hour battery life however.

Specification

Display: e-ink
Screen size: 5"
Storage: 1GB, expandable to 32GB with Micro SD card
Format: ePub, PDF, HTML, FB2, TXT, JPG, GIF, PNG
Battery life: 6 hours
3G or wi-fi: No

I have been doing a bit research for my auntie who wants to get a cheap ebook reader for her daughter , so i am pointing in the direction of either

Bookeen Cybook Opus eReader (from waterstones)

or

Binatone ReadMe Daily eReader (from asda)

maybe she be interested in how cheap he binatone one goes for on ebay but that maybe a bit risky and not the done thing for christmas pressy (i am cheap skate or just really poor cos that all i could afford around the £30 mark even that pushing the boat out too far , do not feel like swimming back to the beach)
